Because the regulation applies to any battery entering the EU regardless of where it was produced, its reach extends well beyond Europe. Manufacturers, importers, and distributors are accelerating supply-chain audits, redesigning labels, pressing component suppliers to verify chemical data, and integrating QR connectivity into packaging workflows that were never designed for such requirements.
